News — Five major drivers of biodiversity loss have been recognized: habitat destruction; overexploitation of natural resources; climate change; invasive species; and 5) pollution. Traditionally, ecologists have focused on the first four drivers, while chemical pollution has been addressed mainly regarding eutrophication. Here, we focus specifically on exploring the connections between biodiversity and anthropogenic chemical pollution.
