The FDA proposed a new rule today to lower the level of nicotine in cigarettes and other tobacco products in hopes of making the smoking products non-addictive.
, Ph.D., professor in the at Duke University School of Medicine, is a clinical psychologist with expertise in addiction science. He and his colleagues have authored over 25 research papers on the topic, and his work is cited in the proposed rule.
