News — On October 12, 2024, Mr. Pitak Admareh, Assistant Director of the at Chulalongkorn University (Pattani office), received an honorary plaque on behalf of the center. The award recognized the center as an outstanding contributor to Muslim youth in the national category for “Science and Technology” at the YMAT AWARD 2024.
The award ceremony took place during the “60th Anniversary of the Young Muslim Association of Thailand (YMAT)” under the theme “Continuing Ideals for a Sustainable Future.” Pol. Col. Tawee Sodsong, and Prime Minister’s representative, presided over the event and presented honorary plaques to distinguished contributors. Attendees included H.E. Since its establishment in 2009, the Halal Science Center of Chulalongkorn University (Pattani office) has been working to develop human resources in the southern border provinces. It has spearheaded projects like the “2024 Halal Health Science and Innovation Competition,” which attracted over 245 projects from 200 schools nationwide. Additionally, the center has developed halal kitchens in schools and promoted nutritious halal school lunch programs.
Being selected for this award highlights the Halal Science Center’s dedication and commitment to advancing society for the benefit of the nation.
