News — The Department of Decorative Arts, at Chulalongkorn University, has created a social network for using design work in development, in collaboration with , the , Chulalongkorn University, and the , Singapore. This collaboration is supported by the  – 2024/25 Cycle. Together, they organized the Sustainable Design from Vision to Action project to provide knowledge, promote, and use design to raise awareness, drive behavioral change, and create environmental sustainability within the university.

The activities include field research, educational sessions, design workshops, prototype creation for practical use, and an exhibition of the prototypes. This project will take place from March 30 to April 12, 2025, at Chulalongkorn University and in Bangkok.

From March 2 to 15, 2025, a group of 15 fourth-year students majoring in Graphic Arts, Art Exhibition, and Fashion and Textile Design from the Department of Decorative Arts at Chulalongkorn University, along with Dr. Naputsamohn Junpiban and Dr. Saran Tangtrongsit, traveled to Singapore to participate in a workshop to explore development pathways and further expand Chulalongkorn University’s ZERO WASTE project. In April 2025, students from the School of Design and Media, Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore, will visit Chulalongkorn University for a two-week workshop to test the results of the project in real applications.
