News — More school districts across the country are making the decision to ban cellphones.

Last year, seven of the 20th largest school districts in the country banned cellphones during the school day due to concerns about student academic and mental health. Los Angeles, which is the second-largest school district in the country, recently voted in favor of the ban.

Recently, the U.S. Surgeon General called for a health warning on social media for younger users due to the toll it's having on the mental health of kids.
