The decision follows a review and is on the advice of the country鈥檚 security and intelligence agencies. The reported, that Industry Minister Fran莽ois-Philippe Champagne said 鈥渢he extraordinary move is to address 鈥渟pecific national-security risks,鈥 but didn鈥檛 elaborate.鈥
A TikTok spokeswoman said they would challenge the order as this move would eliminate hundreds of jobs.
