News — The following experts are available for comment, to answer questions and to discuss a wide range of topics surrounding today's earthquake in Japan, and the situation as it evolves.
--Keith Koper, director, University of Utah Seismograph Stations, associate professor of geophysics. Research areas include earthquake seismology, deep Earth structure, array processing, forensic seismology.
--Ron Bruhn, professor of geology and geophysics. Dr. Bruhn’s research is in structural geology, regional and active tectonics, and geodynamics, including tsunamis.
--Tatjana Jevremovic, director, Utah Nuclear Engineering Program, professor of civil and environmental engineering, and chemical engineering. Dr. Jevremovich is, among other things, expert in reactor physics. She also lived in Japan for ten years.
--Paul Tikalsky, chair and professor of civil and environmental engineering. Dr. Tikalski's area is on the damage and consequences to the civil infrastructure and rebuilding efforts.
