News — Members of the Université de Montréal community have been awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal. Seven received theirs last Dec. 7 in a ceremony at HEC Montréal presided over by Quebec's lieutenant-governor, Manon Jeannotte.

Commemorating the crowning of the former Prince of Wales in 2022, the medal recognizes Canadians who have made significant contributions to the advancement of their field here or abroad in areas such as reconciliation with Indigenous peoples and service to others.

Recipients are also distinguished by, among other things, their dedication to environmental protection through sustainable practices and their role in promoting an inclusive and responsible society focused on equity and sustainability.
