News — The Kogod School of Business at American University announced a one-time, 20% discount to federal government employees who are exiting federal service. The discount is available for nine graduate programs, most of which are available in person, online or in hybrid format. The discount covers Kogod's traditional two-year MBA program as well as its one-year MS in Analytics, Management, Finance, Sustainability Management, International Relations and Business, Accounting, Marketing, or Marketing Analytics.  Kogod is making this discount available for federal employees with at least one year of federal service. "With every change of Administration, a new President appoints more than 4,000 political positions, and many career civil service officers choose to pursue new career options," said David Marchick, Dean of the Kogod School of Business. Marchick continued, "Transitions provide a natural inflection point for individuals to gain new skills, reposition their career trajectory and/or deepen expertise through academic training."
"Kogod offers a range of one- and two-year options for graduate business education, and many of our best students have federal government experience. An additional degree can help individuals launch a new career trajectory, increase earnings and enhance job satisfaction and opportunities," said Ayman Omar, Associate Dean for Graduate Programs.
To facilitate applications from departing federal employees, Kogod will extend its priority application deadline from December 15 to March 1. New students can start their studies as soon as August and can attend part- or -full time, in person or online, or hybrid.
