Movie release prompts national conversation about colorectal cancer in the Black community
Dana-Farber Cancer InstituteMarvel Studios鈥 movie, 鈥淏lack Panther: Wakanda Forever,鈥 is the highly anticipated sequel to 鈥淏lack Panther,鈥 hitting theaters on November 11th. It will premiere without 鈥淏lack Panther鈥 star Chadwick Boseman, who passed away in 2020 from colorectal cancer at the age of 43. Boseman鈥檚 death was a stark reminder of the alarming rise in colorectal cancer in patients younger than 50, as well as the higher incidence and mortality of this disease in the non-Hispanic Black population.
