Dr. Penedo completed his clinical residency in psychosocial oncology and behavioral medicine. He has researched and written extensively on the efficacy of psychosocial interventions in improving health incomes and the critical importance of meeting the support needs of cancer patients. He is an elected fellow of the Society of Behavioral Medicine and the Academy of Behavioral Medicine Research.
