Using mathematical modeling, Karamched and Hartman鈥檚 model shows that upon finding two food sources at an equal distance from their nest, ants will travel to both sources equally.

Assistant Professor of Mathematics Bhargav Karamched has created the first model explaining how foraging ants form pheromone trails to multiple food sources.
