News — MAYWOOD, IL – Pierre Monice has been named president of , effective October 31, 2021.

Monice assumes this new role at Loyola Medicine after previously serving for nearly two years as senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Trinity Health in the Midwest HR service area which includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Ohio ministries.

Prior to joining Trinity Health, Monice served as Chief Operating Officer of the 393-bed Altamonte Campus, part of AdventHealth’s flagship region in Orlando. He has led several major construction projects including a $15 million freestanding emergency department, a $10 million Early Learning Childhood Development Center, a $10 million neonatal intensive care level II unit and nearly $50 million in other clinical departmental expansion projects.

Monice holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Southern Adventist University, having initially served a few years as a senior pastor, and a Master of Business Administration from Webster University. Monice is a board certified fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is also a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and holds a Six Sigma Black Belt certification. He has been active in his community and has coached a high school varsity basketball team in his spare time.
