News — WASHINGTON, D.C., September 19, 2019 -- Scientists and companies will showcase their latest research, tools, equipment and services at the AVS 66th International Symposium and Exhibition.
The event will be held Oct. 20-25 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. This will be a great opportunity for reporters to interact with experts in a variety of science fields, such as quantum science, plasmas, biomaterials, photonics, nanometer scale technology and more.
Nathan Lewis, who has a doctorate in chemistry from California Institute of Technology, will be giving the plenary lecture on “Roles of Surface and Materials Science in the Direction Production of Fuels from Sunlight.” More information about Lewis and his talk can be found at .

39th ANNUAL 5K RUN
The 39th Annual AVS Run will be held in conjunction with the conference Wednesday, Oct. 23, and will start within walking distance of the Greater Columbus Convention Center. For a registration fee of $30, participants will receive a T-shirt and a race number and be eligible for awards. For more information, visit .
