News — LEAWOOD, KS — As the world watches elite athletes compete at the Sochi 2014 Winter Games, behind the scenes, they are being cared for by experts in sports medicine. Sports medicine physician members of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) are spending a month in Sochi, Russia, to serve as medical staff for the US and Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Teams.
