News — The (ESF) will host a Mental Health Symposium bringing together participants from colleges across New York and surrounding states Friday, March 7.
Held in ESF’s Gateway Center, the symposium aims to provide a platform for mental health professionals and advocates to share insights, explore solutions to mental health challenges facing college students, and focus on their well-being and self-care.
The symposium will feature a variety of speakers, panels, and workshops, offering participants valuable content related to college mental health. By creating a space for open dialogue and collaboration, event organizers seek to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and build more supportive communities.
“Ultimately, our goal is to reduce the stigma around mental health and build more supportive communities,” said Erica Allen, director of counseling at ESF. “We hope to foster a supportive environment where staff can learn, share, and practice self-care, ultimately contributing to the well-being of our college communities."
