About Jim PavletichThroughout his 36-year-stint with the Social Security Administration (SSA), Jim Pavletich held various management positions and served as a Claims Representative and technical expert. In the final six years of his career, Pavletich worked as the Public Affairs Specialist (PAS) for Arizona. In that role, he served as the primary media contact and information officer responsible for all media inquiries related to the SSA within the State of Arizona. He also served as the Agency liaison with Federal, State and Local Government and private entities. Pavletich is a noted speaker and has presented at numerous conferences and other public venues providing education and information about SSA’s benefits, and applicant options under the Retirement, Survivors, Disability and Medicare Programs. In 2010, Pavletich and his wife, Jan, also a Social Security veteran, began a benefits-planning practice called Social Security Consultants. The firm, located in Chandler, Arizona, is focused on advising retirees and other advisers on claiming strategies.
