Dr. Anzai is Professor of Radiology at the University of Utah. She completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency and neuroradiology fellowship training at the University of Michigan. In 2000, she moved to the University of Washington, Seattle where she had served as the neuroradiology fellowship director from 2004-2008, subsequently became the section chief in 2008. In 2005, she obtained her MPH from the University of Washington in Health Services funded by GERRAF program and AHRQ K08 award.

Dr. Anzai currently serves as Associate Chief Medical Quality Officer of the University of Utah Health Care. The major goals as the Associate Chief Medical Quality Officer are to improve safety and quality of patient care, to facilitate the process standardization and coordination of care, to implement patient centered outcomes measures that are relevant for each service line, and connect the costs of delivering care with outcome measures in the entire healthcare enterprise. She received the AAMC (Associations of American Medical College) Award for the implementation of Value Driven Outcome tool in 2016.

Dr. Anzai has been a longstanding member of many academic organizations, including ASNR, ASHNR, RSNA, AUR, ACR, and AAWR. She also participated in the large clinical trial including ACRIN trial. She has over 16 years of experience in working as a neuroradiologist in leading academic institutions with a background of health services research. Her area of primary imaging research interest includes head and neck cancer imaging, traumatic brain injury, and neurodegenerative disease. She is also involved in the cost effectiveness and comparative effectiveness of diagnostic tests in various conditions.

Chief Patient Officer at GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer and has been working in lung cancer non-profit for the past 11 years. She is responsible for all aspects of patient programming, services, engagement, and empowerment along with strategic insight and planning around lung cancer awareness and education.  Through personal history with lung cancer, Bonnie Addario is her mother, she has had hands-on experience as a caregiver as it relates to lung cancer the disease, treatments, the emotional and physical experience along with experience through survivorship. 

She has developed multiple patient education programs and educational publications that have reach in 143 countries around the world. In her role, she directly touches patients, caregivers, physicians, nurses, and industry professionals. She attends scientific meetings specific to lung cancer, has sat on multiple advisory boards and has experience with speaking engagements across the lung cancer community. 

As a dedicated radiologist with a strong commitment to patient care, innovation, and education, I bring over 15 years of experience to Corewell Health at William Beaumont University Hospital Royal Oak, MI. 

Leadership and Operations:
In my multifaceted role as Medical Director of Corewell Health East Medical Group Radiology, I help lead and oversee operations at Royal Oak, Troy, and Grosse Pointe hospitals, working diligently to ensure the highest standards of patient care and operational excellence. My focus on efficiency and quality has been instrumental in enhancing the healthcare experience for our community.

As the lead physician recruiter for our high-quality employed group, I am deeply involved in shaping our team with top-tier talent. My dedication to assembling a team of exceptional healthcare professionals contributes significantly to our organization's continued success.

Research Scientist:
I am a research scientist with a specialized focus on prostate cancer MRI. My work in this field is driven by a passion for advancing diagnostic techniques and improving patient outcomes. I collaborate with esteemed researchers and institutions to push the boundaries of medical imaging in the fight against prostate cancer.

Education and Mentorship:
In addition to my clinical and research roles, I take pride in my role as an educator. I actively mentor and train radiology residents and fellows, imparting knowledge and fostering the growth of future leaders in the field.
