Dr. Rivera joined Buffalo State's Department of Political Science and Public Administration in the Spring 2016.  He is a Founder's Fellow of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) and a Minority Fellow of the American Political Science Association (APSA).  Currently, he serves as a member of the executive board for ASPA's Section on Emergency and Crisis Management (SECM).
