News — More people got sick from contaminated food last year in the U.S. than in 2023, according to a new  published by Public Interest Research Group.

In 2024, 300 food recalls were reported, resulting in 1,400 illnesses and hospitalizations doubling since 2023.

The report also found that 39% of recalls were from listeria, salmonella or E. coli.
