Today, the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) and the Brazilian state of Par谩, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), outlining mutual goals, responsibilities, and intentions in advance of the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP30) which will take place in Bel茅m (located in the State of Par谩) Brazil, November 10 鈥 21, 2025. This will be the first time the Amazon will host a climate COP.
